Darker Than Midnight

All I ever do now is laugh
Since you've been gone,
But this laughter is clearly a facade,
Because I'm not nearly ok
When you're not near me,
I'm kneeling, praying for peace,
"Do you hear me Father?",
My greatest blessing's gone
And i find no respite in these other ones,
Because waking up to see the sun just ain't as beautiful
When the light isn't dancing in your eyes,
And the stars and the moon never grace my sky,
This is the blackest night I've ever seen.
